All Acorn Studio solutions are hosted and managed at a secure hosting location at Interhouse, Docklands. The server site has established a high-security system that includes 24 x 7 monitoring by on-site personnel, video camera surveillance and a security breach alarm. Access to server equipment is by a secure PAC key. The Interhouse building and facilities are totally secure, both from the outside world and between customers in the data centre. Only Acorn Studio nominated personnel and Interhouse staff can access the server area which is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Backup servers are located at a secondary site at a second site in Wisley, Surrey, where in the event of a catastrophic failure at Interhouse, service can be restored.

All hosting servers operate on an uninterrupted power supply that in the event of power loss would continue operation and withstand adverse consequences. Interhouse power supplies are constructed with very high capacity, stability and reliability. The Interhouse facility has a 2-Megawatt power supply per floor, backed up by dedicated UPS systems plus two further diverse mains supplies with circuit breaker protection for each server rack. An on-site generator can deal with both server and plant load whilst recharging the UPS.

The available bandwidth up to 100 meg upon demand is constantly monitored to ensure optimum performance.

Firewall protection is afforded through a Microsoft IP level restriction service operating on highest security level.

On-line payment is protected through secure servers with registered secure certificate and operating through a 128bit SSL connection.

Network Load Balancing is implemented where possible to add redundancy, resiliance and load sharing for all of our solutions. This means that in the event of a single server failure, there are always others there to take up the work load.
